Overlay image and point clouds

The new version allows overlaying the panoramic image with the point cloud and taking measurements directly on the panorama.

Data visualization, management, and querying

New tools have been added for data management and exploitation (visualization, measurements, queries…):

• Tool for performing perpendicular measurements
• Tool for measuring slopes
• Tool to adjust the visualization of point clouds: point size, opacity, point density, visualization quality…
• Tool to open the panorama closest to the viewpoint

In MAPIA® CONNECT, this functionality is not necessary since we work with ItemTypes instead of dynamic database linkages.

If you experience issues due to this restriction, you can disable it by following these steps:

1) Open the OpenCityMaps configuration variables: Menu File > Settings > Configuration > Configuration Variables

2) Create a new configuration variable:

Add the variable MS_GEOXFM_DISALLOW_INFERRED_DBCONNECTION with a value of 1

3) Accept and save the changes by clicking OK in the main dialog.

En el webinar vamos a enseñar OpenRoads Designer, como parte de Civil Worksuite, la nueva licencia de Bentley Systems que incluye 9 herramientas de diseño civil que permiten a los ingenieros realizar el diseño de sus proyectos de infraestructura de principio a fin.

OpenRoads Designer, es la herramienta de Bentley para el diseño de detalle de carreteras dentro de flujos tradicionales con entregables 2D hasta para flujos de trabajo avanzados dentro de entornos de modelado 3D en flujos BIM.

En esta sesión mostraremos las principales fortalezas de OpenRoads que hacen que se diferencien de sus competidores en el diseño de proyectos de infraestructura permitiendo gestionar gran cantidad de datos, reduciendo tiempo con la automatización de procesos y mejorando la calidad y precisión de los trabajos, reduciendo plazos de entrega y costes.

Los asistentes aprenderán como OpenRoads:

• Genera Modelos Digitales del Terreno (.mdt) a partir de diferentes archivos .pod, mallas de realidad, etc

We are experts in geospatial developments and integrations based on CAD/GIS technology and geographic intelligence. Through R&D&I projects, from the Technology Area we focus all our activity on maximizing the potential of our clients’ spatial and textual data, for whom we create data models equipped with technology with accessibility and interoperability criteria.

Currently, in order to have new functionalities in the Mapia® geospatial data search engine and to be able to validate and load large volumes of geospatial data, we are working on the project Development of new functionalities in the geospatial data search engine.

With file number 2021/C005/00148014 and within the framework of the Red.es call for aid C005/21-ED, this project has been funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU, through the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan of the Ministry for Digital Transformation and the Civil Service of the Spanish Government.

Increasingly, city and infrastructure management entities require better tools to optimize the resources they allocate. This development project, straddling the line between Smart Cities and Electronic Administration, seeks a new evolution in the use and exploitation of geospatial data, whether structured public or new generation, which will provide us with a powerful tool to respond to the needs detected.

The main technological challenges that will be faced at the end of the project will be:

• Have a proprietary tool for third parties to validate and load geospatial data from any data model, taking into account all the necessary controls at a structural, geometric and topological level.
• Have a functionality that allows for the structured download of large volumes of data regardless of the type of source data.
