Mapia® Innovative PIME

We are experts in geospatial developments and integrations based on CAD/GIS technology and geographic intelligence. Through R&D&I projects, from the Technology Area we focus all our activity on maximizing the potential of our clients’ spatial and textual data, for whom we create data models equipped with technology with accessibility and interoperability criteria.

Currently, in order to have new functionalities in the Mapia® geospatial data search engine and to be able to validate and load large volumes of geospatial data, we are working on the project Development of new functionalities in the geospatial data search engine.

With file number 2021/C005/00148014 and within the framework of the Red.es call for aid C005/21-ED, this project has been funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU, through the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan of the Ministry for Digital Transformation and the Civil Service of the Spanish Government.

Increasingly, city and infrastructure management entities require better tools to optimize the resources they allocate. This development project, straddling the line between Smart Cities and Electronic Administration, seeks a new evolution in the use and exploitation of geospatial data, whether structured public or new generation, which will provide us with a powerful tool to respond to the needs detected.

The main technological challenges that will be faced at the end of the project will be:

• Have a proprietary tool for third parties to validate and load geospatial data from any data model, taking into account all the necessary controls at a structural, geometric and topological level.
• Have a functionality that allows for the structured download of large volumes of data regardless of the type of source data.
